I like hiking, and I often carry my heavy camera and lens with me. Most of the time it is an 85mm f1.4, which is not the most practical lens for hiking, but I really like the look of it.
A lot of hiking photos are taken with wide angle lenses, and that makes sense. You can show the whole landscape and the big view. But I enjoy using something tighter. It feels a bit more focused and sometimes makes small scenes, details or distant mountains look more special.
I am not a pro hiker and right now I am honestly a bit out of practice. But I still like being outside, walking around and taking photos along the way.
